In 1972, Mr. Prabhudayal Dharamji Purohit came from a tiny village in Rajasthan all the way to Bombay to fulfill his dream. A man of humble beginnings, Mr. Prabhudayal Purohit was hard pressed for finances but his business acumen and undying spirit led him to conceive, initiate and establish Shree Ramdev Metal Mart, a small retail trading company dealing in utensils, sheets, and pipes.

With lofty ambitions, exceptional entrepreneurial skills, and superlative leadership qualities, his insignificant company grew rapidly over the years and earned respect and a distinct standing amongst stiff competition. A first amongst many, Mr. Prabhudayal Purohit was a pioneer in introducing many stainless steel products which were unheard of back then.
Mr. Prabhudayal Purohit introduced and familiarized his sons Abhishek Purohit and Mukesh Purohit to the business and taught them the nitty-gritties of the business. When Mr. Prabhudayal Purohit saw that both his sons were competently taking the business forward, he decided to retire back to his village to lead a simple, ascetic and unassuming life.

Today, Abhishek and Mukesh both understand and value the family business and the legacy entrusted to them as they constantly strive to expand and multiply this business many folds.
